From this experience, CARE Mali felt it would be best not to have staff research in the project zones where they work. Further, teams needed more time to prepare staff for research, and to maintain certain levels of neutrality. Further, they felt this exercise was strengthened by triangulation across quantitative and qualitative methods, with diverse stakeholders in different study zones.
